2025 PJM RFP

Notice of RFP Cancellation

2025 PJM RFP Issued September 15, 2025
PSEG Long Island, on behalf of the Long Island Power Authority, has cancelled the 2025 PJM RFP and is issuing a new 2026 PJM Request for Proposals (2026 PJM RFP”) to acquire Capacity or Capacity and Energy from generating facilities located in specified zones within the PJM Control Area with a 10-year contract term.

We encourage respondents with generating facilities located in the specified load zones in PJM to submit proposals to the new RFP and apologize for any inconvenience our cancellation of the 2025 PJM RFP may have caused. 

History of RFP 

On September 15, 2025, PSEG Long Island, as agent of and acting on behalf of LIPA, issued a request for proposals, the 2025 PJM Request for Proposals, to procure either (i) up to 685 MW of Capacity from one or more generating facilities located in the PJM Control Area (the “Capacity Product”), or (ii) Capacity Product and Energy Product from the same Project(s). 

This Procurement will accept Products offered from existing or new Projects located in the following load zones within the PJM Control Area: (i) JCPL LDA or (ii) EMAAC.  For Products proposed from existing Projects, the term shall begin on June 1, 2030.  For Products proposed from new Projects, the term shall begin no earlier than June 1, 2030, and no later than June 1, 2034. For each Capacity Product Proposal, which may consist of Capacity provided from multiple Projects, the Respondent must offer a minimum of 50 MW. Additionally, each Project must have a minimum Capacity of 50 MW.
