All-Electric Homes Program
The All-Electric Homes program offers rebates and bonus incentives to PSEG Long Island approved developers and contractors building single-family all-electric homes or converting existing single-family residences from fossil fuel heating equipment and appliances to all-electric in the PSEG Long Island territory. The All-Electric Homes program requires the installation of whole-house heat pumps, electric water heating, and electric energy efficient appliances. All required equipment must be installed to participate in the program and to be eligible for bonuses.
If you're purchasing or replacing an air compressor for your business, you could be eligible for rebates. Compressed air is often seen as a free resource, but air compressors are a primary source of energy consumption in many facilities. Incentives are available to help you offset costs for compressor upgrades for both variable speed and variable displacement frequency drives to help reduce your payback time.
In the winter, heat is absorbed from the ground or groundwater and carried to the geothermal unit via an underground piping system or well. The heat is transferred to the air, which is distributed through duct work (similar to that used in any forced air heating system). In the summer, the unit provides central air conditioning by ejecting heat from your home. A portion of the heat can be used to produce hot water, while the remainder is pumped back to the underground piping or well system, where it harmlessly dissipates into cooler ground/water. Our rebate is based on the unit’s Energy Efficiency Ratio [EER] rating. Geothermal units must be independently verified through the current Air Conditioning and Refrigeration [ARI] directory as performing to our Efficiency standards.
Green Building and Technical Assistance (TA) Rebates
These green structures are built to use resources efficiently while reducing environmental impact throughout their whole lifecycle: from planning and construction to renovation or demolition. Contractors, architects, engineers, and clients collaborate closely during the project to ensure that the Green Building practice expands and complements the classical building design concerns of economy, utility, durability, and comfort.
