• Melville Central Business Operations Center
  PSEG Long Island, the operating company for the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) on behalf of LIPA, plans to build a new, modern mixed-use facility on approximately 7 acres of LIPA owned property located at the southwest corner of Duryea Road and Maxess Road in the hamlet of Melville, Town of Huntington. The new facility will be used to increase operational efficiencies, enhance reliability, introduce new technology in a storm hardened building that will meet future growth demands, and enhance service to the regional electric transmission and distribution system. 
• Ruland Road Substation Expansion
  The project includes the expansion of the existing Ruland Road Substation, as well as the installation of new substation equipment and transmission infrastructure, on Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) property on the north side of Ruland Road in Melville. The project also includes reconfiguration of the two existing transmission circuits entering the substation from the southwest, including transmission tower removals and transmission pole installations, replacements, and removals, all on LIPA property to the southwest of the existing substation.
