Ocean Beach Substation
Reliability Projects
Project Specifics
PSEG Long Island will be performing a critical resiliency upgrade at the Ocean Beach Substation to reduce the risk of flooding during severe weather events. As part of this project, select electrical equipment will be elevated approximately 40 inches above its current height using steel support structures. Three pieces of equipment will be raised on the north side of the substation, and one piece of equipment will be raised on the south side. These improvements are designed to protect essential infrastructure and ensure the continued delivery of safe and reliable electric service.
Project Route
All work will be performed inside the Ocean Beach Substation on Surfview Walk.
