Kings Highway Distribution Feeder

Project Specifics

This project was completed in March 2020.

PSEG Long Island will install new underground and overhead feeder lines from the new substation under construction on Rabro Drive in Hauppauge. Along the project route, there will be several temporary drill pits to allow for the installation of the underground cable. This will allow us to tie the new circuit into existing overhead facilities. In addition, overhead lines will be reconductored and equipment upgraded.

Project Routes

These upgrades will ensure that you and your neighbors receive safe, reliable electric power for years to come.

  • Underground work will occur in the LIPA right-of-way north of Rabro Drive from Wheeler Road (RT 111) to Lincoln Boulevard; Lincoln Blvd between the LIPA ROW and Townline Road; and Veterans Memorial Highway (RT 454) near the intersection with Lincoln Blvd
  • Overhead reconductoring will occur on Lincoln Blvd north of Veterans Memorial Highway; Townline Road between Lincoln Blvd and Nesconset Highway (RT 347); Wheeler Road between Rabro Drive and the Long Island Expressway
