Rebates will be issued in check form or account credit within 10 weeks. PSEG Long Island reserves the right to use the customer rebate to credit accounts in arrears. By providing a telephone number you are giving consent to be contacted at that number about matters that are closely related to the utility service. PSEG Long Island administers the rebate program on behalf of the Long Island Power Authority, the rebate program sponsor. Some restrictions may apply.    

Heat Pump Water Heater

• You must be a PSEG Long Island residential customer.
• Beginning in 2021, limit of one electric heat pump water heater per residential customer account every 5 years.
• Purchase date and installation date must be on or after January 1st, 2026, and postmarked no later than December 31, 2026.
• The rebate amount cannot be more than 50 percent of the retail purchase price paid.
• Rebate is only valid for ENERGY STAR Certified Electric Heat Pump Water Heaters.
• Electric Heat Pump Water Heater must be on the qualified ENERGY STAR list at time of purchase.
• All measures must carry the appropriate designated Underwriters Laboratory (UL) or Electrical Testing Laboratory (ETL) label.
• All installations must be installed in accordance with all applicable local, state and national codes and ordinances.
• Two photos required: One photo of the unit at customers permanent installed location and one photo of the place showing model #/serial# from unit. Photo Requirements
• For all purchases made online, please provide a paid in full receipt showing model number and date of purchase in 2026. Proof of delivery or pickup is required with application submission. 
• All rebate submissions are subject to post inspection.

Smart Thermostat

• You must be a PSEG Long Island residential customer.
• There is a limit of 2 rebate per calendar year between Connected and Learning, per residential account. You must purchase a new ENERY STAR Smart Thermostat between January 1, 2026, and December 31, 2026.
• The rebate must be sent in within 45 days of purchase but postmarked no later than December 31, 2026.
• The rebate amount cannot be more than 50 percent of the retail purchase price paid.
• Smart Thermostat model must be on the qualified ENERGY STAR list at time of purchase.
• For all purchases made online, please provide a paid in full receipt showing model number and date of purchase in 2026. Proof of delivery or pickup is required with application submission.
• All rebate submissions are subject to post inspection.
