How it works
Pay your bill anytime through our payment partner Speedpay®, a Western Union company. Be ready to supply your PSEG Long Island Customer ID or account number, as well as your credit or debit card number. Speedpay will immediately process your payment, which will be applied to your PSEG Long Island account in one to three business days. You'll get a confirmation number after your transaction goes through. You can opt to save your information for streamlined future payments.

Terms and restrictions
Credit and debit payment must be processed through Speedpay. Our Customer Service Representatives are not able to process credit/debit payments, either on the phone and in-person. You can pay by credit or debit up to four times every 30 days per utility account, with the following limits:
- Residential customers: up to $600 per payment
- Commercial customers: up to $1,000 per payment

Credit/debit card payments are processed by our vendor, Western Union Speedpay®, which charges a fee for their services. Commercial Customer fee is $9.95. Fees are collected by Western Union Speedpay and will appear on your card statement, not your electric bill. We do not collect or receive any portion of the fee.

There are strict data security and other requirements for credit card payments that can be handled more cost-effectively by a vendor.
Payments made by credit card can be cancelled before 8 PM on the payment date, Monday through Friday. A payment processed as a debit card transaction cannot be cancelled.
After making a payment with Speedpay, please call 1-800-490-0025 and speak to a PSEG Long Island customer service representative. In most cases, if your payment brings your account current, providing your payment confirmation number can help to avoid service shutoff.
No. You would need to contact the issuer of the credit/debit card. Please note that if you dispute two electric bill payments made by credit/debit card within 12 months, you cannot make additional credit/debit card payments for a period of 12 months.
No. Summary accounts are not eligible for credit/debit card payments at this time.
No. If you have a $0 or credit balance, you will not be able to pay by credit/debit card.
