Brian Kurtz of Commack Plants Seeds of Hope on Hunger Action Day®

(Uniondale, NY – Oct. 15, 2019)  — Brian Kurtz of Commack, PSEG Long Island’s manager of Customer Satisfaction, got down and dirty with his colleagues by harvesting, weeding and planting cooler weather crops at Island Harvest Food Bank’s Giving Garden in Brentwood. The group was participating in the food bank’s annual Community Day to recognize Hunger Action Day® and Hunger Action Month. A nationwide effort to eradicate hunger, Hunger Action Day® takes place on the second Thursday of September, which is Hunger Action Month.

“There are far too many people on Long Island who struggle with hunger every day,” said Kurtz. “I’m happy to do my little part to help change that.”

PSEG Long Island is committed to giving back to the people and communities it serves by actively supporting hundreds of local charity events each year through the company’s Community Partnership Program.
