Power to Feed Long Island

A Message from Daniel Eichhorn, President and COO, PSEG Long Island

PSEG Long Island takes great pride in having always been committed to giving back to the communities where we live and work. It’s part of our company’s mission. We also know how devastating the pandemic has been for so many of our neighbors. People lost jobs, families lost breadwinners, and many households are struggling with food insecurity. Even though vaccinations are now widespread on Long Island, these effects of the pandemic will be felt for a long time.

During the summertime, the food supply at food banks dwindles significantly, making the situation even more critical. We have a longstanding partnership with Island Harvest and in past years, our employees have volunteered many hours to deliver and sort food at their locations. So when we heard Island Harvest needed support, we jumped at the chance to work with them once again.

We are committed to helping restock Island Harvest’s shelves with the equivalent of 21,000 nutritious meals at this crucial time of year when children tend to feel food insecurity the hardest because schools are not in session. PSEG Long Island ready to help our neighbors through the hardships of the present moment, and I hope you will join us. Together, we truly do have the Power to Feed Long Island.

Sincerely,

Dan Eichhorn
