Middle Island Volunteer Fire Department Secures Thousands of Dollars in Energy Efficiency Rebates from PSEG Long Island
(UNIONDALE, N.Y. – Dec. 3, 2025) PSEG Long Island applauds the Middle Island Volunteer Fire Department for including energy efficiency measures in its recent building improvement projects at its firehouses.
The fire department received energy efficiency rebates of $8,147 from PSEG Long Island. Replacing lighting fixtures and lights, resulted in more than $4,000 in rebates, and upgrading the heating and cooling systems to energy efficient heat pumps resulted in more than $4,100 in rebates. Implementing these energy saving measures is expected to save the fire department nearly $4,000 on its energy costs each year.
