Dees’ Nursery in Oceanside Earns more than $17,000 in Energy Efficiency Rebates from PSEG Long Island

(UNIONDALE, N.Y. – Oct. 5, 2023) PSEG Long Island congratulates Dees’ Nursery and Florist for earning significant financial savings with the installation of energy efficient lighting throughout its nursery buildings. A fixture in Oceanside for more than 60 years, Dees’ recently replaced its inefficient lighting with LEDs, which earned the business $17,100 in rebates from PSEG Long Island.

“We’re proud to support Dees’ Nursery and Florist’s commitment to saving energy and the environment by making upgrades in its buildings. Replacing the lighting is a small change a business can make that will save money and energy. We’d like to thank Dees’ for serving as an example of how small measures like this make financial sense, while helping the environment for the immediate and distant future.

- Michael Voltz, Director of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, PSEG Long Island

“We are very happy that we teamed up with PSEG Long Island to change our inefficient lighting fixtures to LED fixtures,” said Joseph DiDominica, owner, Dees’ Nursery and Florist. “Not only does the lighting provide more illumination throughout our store, but we are also saving on our monthly energy costs.
