We're Celebrating Earth Month!
Get your free energy saving tree
To celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day this year, PSEG Long Island, Suffolk County, Nassau County and RISE (Rockaway Initiative for Sustainability and Equity) are partnering with New York State Urban Forestry Council and the Arbor Day Foundation to provide a total of 585 trees to customers across Long Island and Far Rockaway. These events are sponsored by the PSEG Foundation and PSEG Long Island. In addition to improving air quality and reducing soil erosion, planting the right trees in the right location can reduce utility bills and promote ongoing system reliability.
In addition to our Energy Saving Tree Distribution events, PSEG Long Island volunteers will be in communities across Long Island, joining local organizations to provide LED Lightbulbs, reusable shopping bags and information about our programs and services.

Type of trees available
All customers who participate will receive one tree and are expected to care for and plant the tree, taking into account utility wires and obstructions.
The types of trees offered include the following: Flowering Dogwood, Scarlet Oak, River Birch, Gray Birch, Red Maple and Eastern White Pine.
Bags, bulbs and more
In addition to our Energy Saving Tree Distribution events, PSEG Long Island volunteers will be in communities across Long Island joining local organizations such as Long Island Cares, Planting Fields Arboretum, YMCA of Huntington and YMCA of Glen Cove to provide LED Lightbulbs, reusable shopping bags and information about our programs and services.
