Celebrating Earth Day - All Month Long
In celebration of Earth Day and Arbor Day, PSEG Long Island, Suffolk County, Nassau County and RISE (Rockaway Initiative for Sustainability and Equity) partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation to provide a total of 500 trees to customers across Long Island and Far Rockaway. Planting the right trees in the right location can reduce utility bills and promote ongoing system reliability.
In addition to our tree distribution events, PSEG Long Island volunteers, joined by local organizations, were in communities across Long Island, handing out LED Lightbulbs, reusable shopping bags and information about our energy saving programs and customer assistance services. These events were sponsored by the PSEG Foundation and PSEG Long Island.

Preserving wildlife on Long Island
From osprey to monk parakeets, PSEG Long Island is proud to play a role in the conservation of wildlife on Long Island. We invest in the economy, environment and infrastructure to make our communities better places to live and work. This commitment includes not only protecting our equipment, but also protecting the wildlife that live among us.
Reducing carbon emissions on our roads
PSEG Long Island is charging into the future by expanding the use of alternative-fuel vehicles in our own fleet, including hybrids and plug in electric vehicles.
Whether you own an electric vehicle or are considering buying one, we have info that will help guide your decisions. In support of New York State's carbon reduction goals and our own commitment towards a carbon-free future - we're here to help you "go electric"!
