Protecting Your Account with Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
To help keep your account safe, we’ve added an extra layer of security called Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).
When you log in using a new device, browser, IP address, or from a different state, we’ll ask you to enter a verification code to confirm it’s really you. This helps protect your personal information and prevent unauthorized access.
How It Works
- Login Attempt Detected: You sign in using a different browser, network, or location than usual.
- Verification Code Sent: A unique 6-digit code is sent to the mobile phone number listed on your account.
- Enter the Code: Simply enter the code on the screen to verify that the mobile number is yours.
- Access Granted: Once verified, you’ll continue securely to your account.
Why We’re Doing This
2FA adds an extra step, but it significantly increases your account’s security by confirming that the mobile number associated with your account belongs to you. Even if someone has your password, they won’t be able to access your account without the code sent to your phone.
Helpful Tips
- Make sure your mobile number on file is up to date.
- If you get a verification code you didn’t request, it could mean someone else is trying to access your account—please contact us right away by calling 1-800-490-0025 to speak to a representative.
- You’ll only be asked for a code when we detect something different about your login, such as a new location or device.
- Your security is our priority. Thank you for helping us keep your information safe.
