Home Energy Assessments
Energy Efficiency Improvements Save Money and Increase Comfort
We offer a free energy efficiency home assessment to all customers, regardless of your heating fuel source. Get guidance on how to reduce your energy usage, and learn about exclusive rebates and financing.
As of June 6, 2020, to mitigate exposure and spread of COVID-19, we have been limiting our in-home audit programs. PSEG Long Island is doing its part to help slow and prevent the spread of COVID-19 to all its valued customers and business partners. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this period.
PSEG Long Island is now offering Remote Energy Assessments (REAs) for eligible customers participating in the Energy Efficiency Programs. An Energy Advisor will serve as the technical expert, providing personalized guidance and energy education during the assessment process, focused on providing the customer with an education on their energy usage patterns, energy saving tips, referrals for other assistance programs, with the goal of providing an impactful customer experience throughout the entire process. While performing the remote energy assessment with your Energy Advisor, you will go through the entire home, room by room, obtaining information for eligibility in replacing inefficient measures - allowing you to play an active role in making your home energy efficient, safer and healthier! If you choose an in-home energy assessment, a partner will visit your home to conduct a standard home energy audit. All partners will adhere to NYS COVID-19 safety requirements.
If you are interested in receiving a free home energy assessment and you live in a single family home with non-electric heat, complete an application and you will be contacted by a participating contractor.
If you have electric heat, you may be eligible for a free energy assessment as well as free efficiency upgrades. Find out more or call us at 1-855-694-3576 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays to determine your eligibility.
