PSEG Long Island DCFC Incentive Program
PSEG Long Island’s Direct Current Fast Charger (DCFC) Incentive program offers operating cost relief in the form of incentives for the demand charges found on the electric bill. Qualified customers can receive up to 50% of their demand charges in the form of a rebate check.
Available Incentives
a. Rate 281 customers that have public DC fast chargers are eligible for the 50% demand charge relief incentive for a limited time. Available until December 2026, the PSEG Long Island EV Team will calculate what your demand charges were over the time period that you are eligible for and issue a check for 50% of your cumulative demand charges once all requirements are met.

A new commercial tariff (EV Phase-In Rate) is available for Rate 285 customers that have electric vehicle charging stations and fleets. Rate 281 customers will be eligible to apply for the rate in January 2027. The DCFC Incentive program will be made available until the EV Phase-In Rate is made available for Rate 281 customers.

- DCFC station must have public accessibility for the general public
- DC Fast Charger output must be 50 kW or greater
- Utilize connector types CCS or ChAdeMO
- North American Charging Standard (NACS) connectors may be utilized so long as at least one (1) CCS or ChAdeMO connector type is made available at the location
