Tree Trim Program

The beauty of Long Island is tied to its beautiful, lush trees; however those that grow too close to power lines can cause power outages and safety concerns. As part of our commitment to providing safe and reliable service, we improved and expanded our vegetation management program. These enhancements were required to bring the program to the best practice utilized by utilities nationwide.

Safety First

Do not climb trees or trim trees located near power lines. Even momentary contact with a power line, or a tree or tree branch that is in contact with a power line, can severely injure or kill.
