What is CHP?
Combined Heat and Power (CHP) is an advanced and highly efficient power generation system that generates electric power and useful thermal energy from a single fuel right at the point of use. Every CHP application involves recovering otherwise-wasted thermal energy and putting it to use for heating, cooling, process thermal energy, or electricity.* More Frequently Asked QuestionsPDF
  Who is using CHP?
According to the Department of Energy, CHP already supplies nearly 10% of our nation's electricity from more than 4,000 installations nationwide*. CHP has been successfully implemented across diverse industry segments, including colleges, manufacturing plants, hospitals, municipal facilities, office buildings, multi-family apartment complexes, and retail stores.** More Frequently Asked QuestionsPDF

Things to consider…
We encourage customers to consider implementing other energy efficiency measures first, like Lighting, HVAC, Building Envelope, & EMS upgrades, to minimize energy consumption and get maximum value from the proposed CHP system.
