Town of Mineola - Roslyn Rd Underground Work

After locating a fault with the underground equipment at the intersection of Roslyn Road and Colonial Ave in Mineola, PSEG Long Island determined that an immediate repair was necessary, as the utility continues its efforts to further improve reliability and harden the system against future storms.
Project Description and Route
PSEG Long Island repaired a fault with the underground equipment running beneath Roslyn Road. This is critical equipment that provides electric service for thousands of customers throughout Nassau County.
Work took place on Roslyn Road at the intersection of Colonial Avenue and Searing Avenue.

Crews worked daily, including weekends, from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Occasional overnight work was required.

There were lane closures northbound on Roslyn Road at the intersection of Colonial and Searing avenues. Portions of Colonial and Searing avenues were also closed. To ensure traffic moves safely, PSEG Long Island and its contractors provided cones, flagmen and signage at the work sites.
