Melville RUD Cable Replacement Project
This project was completed in December 2017
PSEG Long Island will install new underground primary cable lines and transformers in your community. The project will utilize horizontal directional drilling to minimize the need to trench or otherwise disturb the roadway. Temporary drill pits will be installed in some areas and limited trenching will be required to tie-in the new cable to existing equipment. These upgrades will ensure that you and your neighbors receive safe, reliable electric power for years to come.
The project will be completed in two sections.

- Wilmington Drive (between Elkland Road and Woodmont Road)
- Elkland Road
- Woodmont Road

- Northcote Drive
- Leighton Court

- Richbourne Lane
- Knights Hill Court
- Bondsbury Lane
- Wilmington Drive (just east of Northcote Drive to Elkland Road)
