Rebate Requirements

Please see the following 2024 ENERGY STAR® rebate requirements.

Terms and conditions are subject to change without notice, including early termination of this promotion. No additional fees apply. Rebates will be issued in check form or account credit within 10 weeks. PSEG Long Island reserves the right to use the customer rebate to credit accounts in arrears. By providing a telephone number you are giving consent to be contacted at that number about matters that are closely related to the utility service. PSEG Long Island administers the rebate program on behalf of the Long Island Power Authority, the rebate program sponsor. Some restrictions may apply.

Electric Clothes Dryer 

  • You must be a PSEG Long Island residential customer.
  • There is a limit of one rebate per calendar year, per residential account. You must purchase a new ENERGY STAR Electric Clothes Dryer between January 1 and December 31, 2024.
  • The rebate must be sent in within 45 days of purchase but postmarked no later than December 31, 2024.
  • The rebate amount cannot be more than 50 percent of the retail purchase price paid.
  • Electric Clothes Dryer model must be on the qualified ENERGY STAR list at time of purchase.
  • For all purchases made online, please provide a paid receipt as well as proof of delivery/pickup with application submission.
  • All rebate submissions are subject to post inspection.

 
Most Efficient Clothes Washers

  • You must be a PSEG Long Island residential customer.
  • There is a limit of one rebate per calendar year, per residential account. You must purchase a new ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2024 Clothes Washer between January 1 and December 31, 2024.
  • The rebate must be sent in within 45 days of purchase but postmarked no later than December 31, 2024.
  • The rebate amount cannot be more than 50 percent of the retail purchase price paid.
  • Clothes Washer must meet the highest tier for Most Efficient standards and must be on the qualified ENERGY STAR list at time of purchase.
  • For all purchases made online, please provide a paid receipt as well as proof of delivery/pickup with application submission.
  • All rebate submissions are subject to post inspection.

 
Most Efficient Clothes Dryers (Heat Pump)

  • You must be a PSEG Long Island residential customer.
  • There is a limit of one rebate per calendar year, per residential account. You must purchase a new ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2024 Electric Heat Pump Clothes Dryer between January 1 and December 31, 2024.
  • The rebate must be sent in within 45 days of purchase but postmarked no later than December 31, 2024.
  • The rebate amount cannot be more than 50 percent of the retail purchase price paid.
  • Electric Heat Pump Clothes Dryer model must be on the qualified ENERGY STAR list at time of purchase.
  • For all purchases made online, please provide a paid receipt as well as proof of delivery/pickup with application submission.
  • All rebate submissions are subject to post inspection.

 
Heat Pump Water Heater

  • You must be a PSEG Long Island residential customer.
  • Beginning in 2021, limit of one electric heat pump water heater per residential customer account every 5 years.
  • Purchase date and installation date must be on or after January 1st, 2024 and postmarked no later than December 31, 2024.
  • The rebate amount cannot be more than 50 percent of the retail purchase price paid.
  • Rebate is only valid for ENERGY STAR Certified Electric Heat Pump Water Heaters.
  • Electric Heat Pump Water Heater must be on the qualified ENERGY STAR list at time of purchase.
  • All measures must carry the appropriate designated Underwriters Laboratory (UL) or Electrical Testing Laboratory (ETL) label.
  • All installations must be installed in accordance with all applicable local, state and national codes and ordinances.
  • Photos required; Photo Requirements

Heat Pump Pool Heaters 

  • Must be a PSEG Long Island residential customer.
  • The rebate amount cannot be more than 50 percent of the retail purchase price paid.
  • All measures must carry the appropriate designated Underwriters Laboratory (UL) or Electrical Testing Laboratory (ETL) label.
  • All installations must be installed in accordance with all applicable local, state and national codes and ordinances.
  • For all purchases made online, please provide a paid receipt as well as proof of delivery/pickup with application submission.
  • Heat pump pool heaters must be new and have a coefficient of performance (COP) of at least 5.
  • As of January 1, 2021, limit of one heat pump pool heater per residential customer account every 5 years.
  • Purchase date and installation date must be on or after January 1st, 2024, and postmarked no later than December 31, 2024.
  • A copy of dated sales receipt/paid invoice showing manufacturer, model number, installation date and purchase price.
  • Must submit photo of HPPH model#/serial# from the unit itself
  • Must submit photo of HPPH unit in permanent installed location
  • All rebate submissions are subject to post inspection.
