Martin Shames
Senior Director - Finance
Martin Shames was named Senior Director, Finance in October 2023. In this role, he leads the teams responsible for all accounting, finance, planning, business analysis, rate-setting and rate case analytical functions, governmental cost-tracking requirements, and related responsibilities.
Prior to joining PSEG Long Island, Mr. Shames was Director of Finance for PSEG Services Company. He has been with PSEG for more than two decades, serving in a variety of financial management roles of increasing responsibility. Mr. Shames’ expertise includes financial planning and analysis, regulatory matters, building relationships across teams, benchmarking and continuous improvement.
Prior to joining PSEG, Mr. Shames was with Capgemini, Ernst & Young, the Travelers Group and MetLife.
He holds bachelor’s degrees from Cornell University in both computer science and mathematics and his MBA from Columbia University in finance and management.
