John McCumiskey
Senior Director - Engineering and Asset Management
John McCumiskey was named Senior Director, Engineering and Asset Management, in February 2025. In this role, his responsibilities include leading all engineering efforts related to the improvement and maintenance of transmission, distribution, and substation facilities, as well as ensuring engineering support for interconnect requirements for distributed energy resources (DERs) and NYISO projects. Additional responsibilities include developing the strategic direction for long-term Asset Management plans that includes Engineering, Asset Strategy, NERC Compliance, Data Governance, and Investment Delivery Assurance (IDA) activities.
Mr. McCumiskey has more than 35 years of progressive managerial and technical experience within the utility industry.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from New York Institute of Technology, and an MBA in banking and finance from Dowling College. He is also a licensed professional engineer in multiple states.
