PSEG Long Island and Island Harvest Thank Carle Place/Westbury/Garden City Communities for Donating Equivalent of Nearly 2,000 Meals to ‘Power to Feed Long Island’
(UNIONDALE, N.Y. – Aug. 14, 2025) PSEG Long Island and Island Harvest Food Bank thank the people of Carle Place, Westbury, Garden City and the surrounding communities for donating more than $300 in cash and 1,600 pounds of food, personal care and pet items at PSEG Long Island’s Power to Feed Long Island food collection in Carle Place on Friday, Aug. 8. Many community members came out and donated – opening their hearts, wallets and trunks to help their neighbors in need.
As a thank you for contributing, PSEG Long provided donors with reusable shopping bags and LED lightbulbs – small tokens of appreciation that help preserve the environment and conserve energy. PSEG Long Island’s customer advocates provided information on its financial programs and money-saving energy efficiency options. Island Harvest Food Bank personnel shared information on its hunger relief programs.
