- Why should your company consider workplace charging?
There are many reasons a company may be considering providing workplace charging. It could be to attract and retain forward-thinking employees, to enhance a company's "green" image, to gain points toward LEED certification, or to raise awareness of electric vehicles. It can also be a valuable component of corporate sustainability efforts.
- Is there an incentive for workplace charging?
Yes, customers that meet all the program requirements are eligible for the lesser of up to $4,000 maximum per port (charging equipment only) or 80% of the invoice price for up to 10 Charging Stations ports maximum per location.
- Who can most benefit from this program?
The program is designed for large corporations, hospitals, universities and municipalities with available space to install charging units. We expect workplace charging will work best for our Rate 285 customers who have a PSEG Long Island account manager.
- How does my company apply for an rebate?
Your company must submit a completed application and receive pre-approval to secure a rebate in the reservation queue.
- How long are the rebate funds available?
The rebate is available on a first come first served basis for up to 100 workplace charging stations ports for those who are eligible.
- How does the rebate work?
The rebate will be paid in three stages upon installation and operation of charging system. The first stage will consist of 60% of the total rebate once the system is operational. The second stage will consist of 10% of the rebate paid after the receipt of the first 12 months of the charging port data. The third stage will consist of 10% of the rebate paid after the receipt of the second 12 months of the charging port data.
- What equipment is eligible for a rebate?
Only qualified Level 2 Commercial Charging Equipment that's UL listed and meets EVSE J1772 requirements are eligible for a rebate - provided they have network capability or are coupled with a network controller device and meet program requirements. View equipment list
- Are there any additional incentives available for installations of workplace charging equipment?
