With rebates, tax credits and other money saving incentives for driving and charging green, you might just save some green as well.

Residential Incentives

  • New York State Drive Clean Rebate
    Open to all New York State residents, the Drive Clean Rebate offers a point-of-sale rebate towards the purchase or lease of a new electric car. Taking advantage of the Drive Clean Rebate is very easy: simply purchase a qualifying electric car from a participating dealer, and a discount of up to $2,000 will be applied when you pay.
  • Federal Tax Credit for EVSE
    Receive a federal tax credit of 30% of the cost of purchasing and installing an EV charging station (up to $1,000 for residential installations and up to $30,000 for commercial installations).


Commercial Incentives

  • Department of Environmental Conservation Grant Funding for Municipalities
    New York State Department of Environmental Conservations provides grants to municipalities to install EVSE for public use. Grants are awarded on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted.
  • New York State Tax Credit for Public and Workplace Charging
    New York State provides an income tax credit of up to $5,000 for the purchase and installation of an electric vehicle charging station. The credit is targeted at commercial and workplace charging stations. The tax credit is available through the end of 2022.
  • New York State EVSE Rebate up to $4000
    The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority's (NYSERDA) Charge Ready NY program offers rebates for public and private entities toward the purchase and installation of Level 2 EVSE at public parking facilities, workplaces, and multi-unit dwellings.
