Reliability Projects

We're making upgrades to enhance our system's ability to withstand extreme weather and meet energy demands.

Project Overview

PSEG Long Island will be upgrading the electric distribution infrastructure to accommodate the growing demand for electricity in Westhampton Beach. We will be installing a new underground line, upgrading overhead primary wires, replacing poles and installing (2) manholes and other equipment. These upgrades will help ensure that we continue to provide safe and reliable electric service in your area.

Project Route
The route begins at the Substation on Station Road, turns right onto Depot Road, then left onto a LIPA easement area when it intersects over Riverhead Road (CR 31) and continues north up to Rogers Way.

Project Timeline
Construction is expected to begin in mid-March and will take several months to complete. Crews will be working Monday – Friday from approximately 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
