Daniel Eichhorn, P.E.
Vice President - Customer Service
Daniel Eichhorn was named Vice President – Customer Services of PSEG Long Island in October 2013. In this position, Mr. Eichhorn is responsible for customer satisfaction, marketing and marketing strategy, customer contact, meter-to-cash functions, and solar and energy efficiency programs.
PSEG was selected by the Long Island Power Authority (LIPA) in December 2011 to manage LIPA’s electric transmission and distribution system beginning Jan. 1, 2014. Mr. Eichhorn was responsible for developing LIPA’s new customer services organization during the transition.
Prior to this position, Mr. Eichhorn served as director – customer contact and technology for Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) and had responsibility for assessing and implementing new customer technology, oversight of all call center operations, and oversight of the company’s 16 customer service centers.
With PSE&G for 25 years, Mr. Eichhorn has a broad background in electric and gas operations, customer operations and the appliance service business. He led the implementation of PSE&G’s new SAP-based customer information system.
Mr. Eichhorn received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Drexel University, and is a professional licensed engineer. He has attended numerous leadership development programs including: The Center for Creative Leadership, Darden School of Business and the Balanced Scorecard Management System.
