Planned / Long Term Outage Request

An outage may be requested for a variety of reasons, for example: to clean an exterior transformer vault, to install siding on a house, or to make permanent repairs to a service. Typically five business advanced notice is required for all requests. Outages will be scheduled to be taken during the normal work day. Any work requested off hours or requiring a dedicated crew will have costs associated with them.

It is the requester’s responsibility to contact all of the affected customers if an outage is requested for a multi-tenant building whether Residential or Commercial. 

An electrical inspection certificate will be requested in advance of all work that affects the service equipment, which includes all repairs and replacement work.

When the work is completed, it is the requester’s responsibility to call 1-800-490-0075 to be energized. The service will be restored as soon as possible.

To request an outage submit the document outlined below and complete the following steps:

Complete the Customer Planned Outage Request Form. Please submit the documentation to Building & Renovation Services either via email to BRSLI@pseg.com or via fax at 1-844-846-1550.
