Glimpse the Future with PSEG Long Island at Energize Long Island
Oct. 31 event showcases new technologies to increase efficiency and save money
(Uniondale, NY – Sept. 24, 2019) — PSEG Long Island announced that Energize Long Island, its annual energy efficiency conference, will take place on Thursday, Oct. 31, at the Hilton Long Island/Huntington.
The daylong event is free to PSEG Long Island customers. It attracts nearly 600 attendees and offers a variety of sessions that help educate both commercial and residential customers on energy-efficient solutions and strategies to optimize performance, lower consumption and reduce costs.
Energize Long Island offers a wide range of sessions that can help attendees identify the most suitable energy efficiency measures for their particular circumstances. Led by industry experts, the discussions cover trending topics including the benefits of ground source and air source heat pumps, emerging innovations like electric vehicles and smart home solutions, and the future of energy efficiency programs on Long Island. The conference also offers significant opportunities to speak with prospective customers and to meet a host of vendors and exhibitors.
PSEG Long Island’s Energy Efficiency programs have saved its business and residential customers an estimated $342 million on their bills over the past five years through incentives on more-efficient appliances, heating and cooling systems, and other upgrades. More importantly for the climate, these upgrades eliminate the carbon emissions that would have been involved in generating an estimated 1.8 billion kilowatt hours of energy that has been saved since Jan. 1, 2014. That amount would be enough to power 189,609 homes for one year.
“Optimizing energy efficiency and reducing our carbon footprint has never been more important to Long Island businesses and consumers, who recognize how vital these concepts are for sustaining both our economy and our environment,” said Michael Voltz, director of Energy Efficiency and Renewables at PSEG Long Island. “Energize Long Island plays an essential role in helping customers understand and select the appropriate energy-saving measures that work best for their specific needs. It will deliver information and ideas that will translate into lower costs, reduced consumption and a sustainable environment that will serve our community for generations to come.”
In addition to providing informative and valuable content to attendees, Energize Long Island also draws a variety of reputable sponsors to support the event. Daikin, one of the world’s foremost air conditioning providers, is the event’s Platinum sponsor, while Hi-Light Energy Systems has signed on as a Gold sponsor. Other sponsors include National Grid, H2M Architects+Engineers, NRG Pays, Rheem and INF Associates. Sponsorship packages are available. Interested businesses should contact Jodi O’Sullivan at email@example.com or call (516) 320-9225.
