Install your pool / hot tub safely: Ensure that you have the proper clearance to install your pool / hot tub without contacting electric utility lines.

We need to visit your location to check pool / hot tub clearance and ensure compliance with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC). Your pool / hot tub must also comply with Town Codes. Please complete and submit the below form so we may schedule a site visit.

Mark out the proposed location of the pool / hot tub using spray paint or stakes and strings. We cannot complete our measurements if the pool / hot tub site is not marked out. You do not need to be home during the site visit unless there is an access issue.

For your safety, a PSEG Long Island representative will measure the pool / hot tub clearance to ensure it compiles with the NESC. PSEG Long Island will measure from the edge of the water or the top edge of the pool / hot tub when installed, to the Primary, Secondary and Service Drop to the house.

PSEG Long Island may measure several times if necessary to assist in the installation of the pool / hot tub. When the last measurement is taken and the installed pool / hot tub meets or exceeds the NESC requirements, a letter will be provided to the customer to provide to the town.
