Vaughn L. McKoy
Vice President – Legal
Vaughn L. McKoy was named Vice President – Legal of PSEG Long Island in July 2014. In this position, he manages the legal operations and leads a staff that provides legal services and support to the business operations and other support services. Mr. McKoy was responsible for establishing and implementing LIPA’s new legal services organization during the transition. In his role, Mr. McKoy is a member of the senior leadership team committed to building an industry leading electric company on Long Island.
Prior to this positon, Mr. McKoy was General State Regulatory Counsel for Public Service Enterprise Group, Inc., the parent company to PSEG Long Island, where he oversaw state regulatory matters and was a chief legal representative to regulators across both the parent company and its business units. Additionally, Mr. McKoy was PSEG’s lead counsel on legal, regulatory, and compliance issues including practice before federal and state courts and regulatory agencies.
Before joining PSEG, Mr. McKoy was one of New Jersey’s top state prosecutors and also served as a federal prosecutor and a lawyer in private practice.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University, his law degree from Rutgers Law and an Executive Masters of Business Administration from NYU Stern School of Business. Mr. McKoy serves on the boards of numerous regional organizations, including Rutgers University, UNCF, The Boys and Girls Clubs of New Jersey, and the Mentorship Partnership of Long Island and New York City.
