Interconnection Requirements - Application Package

Prior to installation of the equipment a completed application package for interconnection under the SGIP must be submitted to us. In addition to the application packages below, other documentation may be requested by us if required.
Distributed Resource Application Requirement Submit To
Distributed Resource System 0 kW to 5 MW
  • letter of authorization by the customer (if the Developer is agent for the Customer/Applicant)
  • The standard application form (Appendix B) completed and signed by the applicant/Agent
  • A signed copy of the standardized contract (Appendix A) (Signed by Customer/Applicant, not Agent)
  • System Diagram - A three line diagram for designs proposed on three phase systems, including detailed information on the wiring configuration at the PCC and an exact representation of existing utility service. One line diagrams shall be acceptable for single phase installations
  • A copy of the  manufacturers data sheet for the inverter equipment(s)
  • Copy of the certificate of compliance referencing UL 1741
  • Site Control Documentation (Identify Contractual Right to Develop Site)
  • If requesting a new service, a site plans with the proposed interconnection point identified by a Google Earth, Bing Maps or similar satellite image. For those projects on existing services, account and meter numbers shall be provided
  • Description / Narrative of the project and site proposed. If multiple DG systems are being proposed at the same site/location, this information needs to be identified and explained in detail.
  • A description of DG technology type, DG fuel source / configuration and proposed total project size in AC kW. Project is net metered, remote, or community net metered, Metering configuration
  • Copy of the manufacturer’s verification test procedures, if required
  • SG SGIP Application Fee $750 (50kW-5MW), Payable to PSEG Long Island and mailed to Power Asset Management
